I'm pretty happy finding what appears to be a still active board to use, and I'm just taking this time to introduce myself, and whatnot before just slamming down the questions I want to ask about my bike(as I have a few), just don't see that as good form.

I go by Jax Rhapsody, live in Louisville,Ky, I ride a 2014 Taotao Quantum, that has had some issues, but not too terrible. Right now it appears to be leaking gear oil.

Welcome Jax, Where is the tranny leaking oil from the gasket or the drain screw.

I checked the drain screw, after finding via the vid on this site, and tightened it some(hopefully not striping it), cleaned it up, and will check for leaking. I suspect it may be the gasket, hoping it's not some seal.

I wish companies would use a steel sleeve in aluminum parts that are to have a steel screw in them used for draining. The chemical reaction would literally fuse the two together. I was priced $70 for the seal, and I just don't have it to spare. If it's a gasket, I could probably buy, or make one.

Yea clean up the area and then see where it is leaking from. If its the seal you will have gear oil inside the CVT and would cause your belt to be slipping. So I think it is either the Drain Plug WHICH are prone to stripping but you can put a steel helicoil in there( I HAD TO HAHA)and now you have a steel threaded drain plug works great.
Here is what you will need if its the drain plug that is stripped a little.

we were on our way to Indiana for a Saints & Sinners Ball, and there was a dime sized spot on the ground in the parking lot when we left. That was about 8:30 when we left to go there, so I'm thinking it was the plug, and gasket, and now might just be the gasket. There is no belt slipage, I can happily say that it must not be the seal.
