Rode my scooter to the store today. Saw a Chinese scooter in the parking lot. Saw a teenager with a helmet walking to it. Asked him if I could ride his scooter for $5. He agreed. It's a Roketa 150cc scooter with only 300 miles on it (assuming the odometer was not tampered with). He said he bought the scooter from someone else on Craigslist. I Asked him if he would sell it. He offered it to me for $800. I told him I would think about it. Is that a good deal?

I'd say it's a deal, when they usually go a little over a grand, and oddly some china150s cost more than others. My Quantum was 1200, but I've seen the one that looks like a Scarabeo, with 16" wheels, and it was about 2200, and that was the online order price.

jax, from which online store did you buy your scooter? do you recommend them? I didn't buy mine online, I was just comparing prices, my bike from one site was 200$ more at the dealer, my point; if you can get a 150 for well under a grand, that is decent- it's a steal, take it.

jax, from which online store did you buy your scooter? do you recommend them? Okay, they can be cheaper online, straight from the distributor, the slashed price is what you'd pay about at a motorsports store(or garage), your bikes uses the basic 150 chassis like mine does, so online it's cheaper to buy, but you have to wait, then somewhat put it together. You'll see your bike is over a grand locally, yet 899, from the site, so again; you aren't just saving a butt load of duckets feom buying it new somewhere, but still saving money, plus what's mentioned above for a barelly used bike- which is probably a savings equal to, or more than online. It's a steal of a price for a whole bike, that runs. www.extremescooters.biz/roketa-mc-75-150cc-scooter.aspx

You didn't say what year it was. I'm thinking if it's a Roketa, it's probably an 08 or 09. If the bike is decent, $800 isn't too bad....$600 is much better.
