I keep coming across videos once in a while videos of people's trucks, cars, and motorcycles getting stuck on or worse, stuck full throttle and it made me think, what if it ever happened to me, especially on a scooter? I heard of people with motorcycles put it in like 4th gear and dump the clutch to stall it, but on a scooter it's all automatic, so how could you stop it? How would you fix it afterwards also?
I'm terrified of this happening because a couple years ago I wanted to killswitch my scooter while going 40mph because of a weird noise I heard, but it kept running with no throttle all the way until I slowed down enough for the CVT and clutch to "neutral" the engine, then it finally died. So after that experience, I feel my killswitch is useless except at a stop.

Hit the KillSwitch and gently apply both brakes to put a load on the motor and as it slows down squeeze the brakes a little more until it slows down enough and the motor will die once the load is to much. Alleyoop

you can't call your self a rider until you drop one, tuck and roll! seriously, if in doubt about the above advice, please look into taking the MSF course. they will teach you what you need to know.

I believe the kill switch over ride everything that's really what it is for. When I went to trike school first thing is explaining how to shut off engine they say never with key. 2 days of school then became legal on road but in all fairness learn a lot about safety and how trikes behave in curves.

The Key OFF and KILL Switch do the same thing, for a AC CDI it grounds the CDI, for a DC CDI it cuts off the 12volts. The reason they have a kill switch on the Switch is so that in an emergency you do not have to take your hands off the handlebar, you can reach the switch and kill the motor with your thumb. Turning the Key off means you have to let go of one handle and reach over to the KEY and on some scoots the Key is not close. Alleyoop
