Hi all!
I hope that everyone is having a good time during these holidays
I'm wondering how Alleyoop is healing up with that hand too?
I have been chin deep into this scooter for what seems like forever now, in between being called away to life's other things. So, I thought I'd check in, browse and also update on where I'm at with this right now in case, there's any interest.
So if you recall this scooter...
It's now pretty nekked ...
I've finally finished scrubbing, sanding, painting and clear coating all of the panels . It looks more like I'm assembling a "StormTrooper" doesn't it?
( I was concentrated on getting to this before winter hit full blown as, I don't have a garage to paint in)...
I've got the front rotor soaking in apple cider Vinegar, to remove rust. I'm waiting on some rust converter that I ordered, to paint onto the frame.
I'm still needing to go through the front brake system to see if I can get that working and/or salvage any of it.
All of the light circuits etc test well and surprisingly, the bulbs do as well!
My Variator is still waiting for its new rollers to be put in and a new belt to go on. The kick start gear still needs to go on too. Eventually, I'll need to pull that rear wheel as, it needs a new tire, for sure. I'm cleaning things up as I go, contacts, dirt, rust, old grease , spiders and eggs, pincher bugs ...
I got this shnazzy skateboard deck tape for the footboards too.
