Also to get the big nut off get a big arse 12" Adjustable Wrench. Then lay the clutch down put a knee on one side of the clutch EDGE and your other HAND right across your knee and LEAN FORWARD, that will push down and take the spring pressure off and then with the other hand loosen the nut and then take it off. Do the same thing when putting it back together. If you get a big adjustable wrench you can use it for many other nuts on the scoot so it won't be a one time tool. Alleyoop This guy uses both Knees I use one knee and a hand to compress the spring.

Excellent advice Alleyoop! I appreciate it very much since this is my first time. I do have a 10" crescent wrench but not a 12. I may have to get one since that looks like the easiest way by far. I have 1 c clamp that big for the second method.
Has anyone ever tried using the strut spring compressors you can use for free from most auto parts stores?

I hold it between my feet and use an impact gun. When I put it back together I get help from a third hand to make up the big nut.

I took quick peek non of your clutch pads are missing a spring. The pads are glazed (I expected that) they look very thin.
