Hi everyone. I'm new to this scooter repair business but I've moved miles from any repair shop so I need to do it myself.
My wife's scooter (bz157qmj) has been standing for a while waiting for a suspension strut which arrived today and I fitted (Yay me!) but when I tried to start it,it really struggled then caught and then died.
I Removed the seat cover and discovered that the breather tube(I think that's what it's called) from the rocker cover was not attached to anything on the other end. There is a hose clamp on it so I assume it is supposed to attach to something but for the life of me can't find where it should go.
Any suggestions? Also do you think this is the cause of the dying or just a unrelated problem?

if the scooter has been sitting more than 30 days untreated then it's a good bet that's not gas anymore. clean your fuel system and especially your carb. use some kind of fuel stabilizer for long periods of inactivity.
