Ha! Right?! Thanks guys. We'll see, richardv ! I have Saturday afternoon to put some time in again then , have to spend a couple days getting my pickup ready for smog testing. It just never ends around here I'm waiting on an answer from justsctooterparts on a full M.C. assembly they have on ebay, to find out if it suits my mirror mount holes. Their listing says 10mm threading but, I'm pretty sure, mine are 8mm. The assy looks to be the exact one I have other than that discrepancy. I'm perplexed. Maybe a error in the listing ? Did they even make 2 different ones for the "Flagship" style scoots? My Master cylinder... Compared to this one ? ebay link

Measure the end of the mirrors stud: 8mm =5/16 if it is bigger than 5/16 then you know they are 10mm. 10mm=25/64

Funny seeing this because I JUST went through that myself yesterday figuring out what type master cylinder to get lol. My bike is a little different and has the mirror mounts on the turn signal and killswitch holder things.

Measure the end of the mirrors stud: 8mm =5/16 if it is bigger than 5/16 then you know they are 10mm. 10mm=25/64 I already had , with my calipers, thanks Alleyoop . They're just under 8mm. My hope is that the listing could be incorrect in it's specification of 10mm for the mirror hole since, I haven't found any other M.C. that even looks like mine, with the brake switch built into the casing, so the wiring comes attached to it . The one in the listing matches up in every way except that it specifies a 10mm hole. I'm wondering if they copy/pasted specs from somewhere, in error. Not being able to locate with surety, my M.C. is why I ended up buying these hard to find rebuild kits and waited 3 weeks for them. Now, I wait for justscooterparts to answer my inquiry. It's been a couple of days already so, back to the hunting grounds to see if I can find one in China or something but, I did look around for the right one , a very long time before deciding to shift gears and look for the kits. And this silly girl thought she'd get something done on her scooter today !

Now if you cannot find 8mm ones you might try getting a 10mm helicoil and see if the 8mm screws into the 10mm if so then you can get the 10mm sets and insert the 10mm helicoil and screw in the 8mm mirrors.

Aha! Good thinkin' , the Helicoil! I forgot about those! "all the brake assemblies for your scoot all say 10mm mirror" ... Yes.That is why I'm havin' troubles Looks like I'm gonna have to probably risk it. So, while I work this out with the brake, is there anything else that comes to mind that I ought to do before I were to dress this back up with it's panels? Yyou mentioned me clearing the carb jet .I'll probably put the old seals back into the M.C. for now, it leaked less. But that should only take a few minutes or so.

You may not have to clean the jets, it all depends if it will take throttle. So you have to jump on it and ride it and see how the motor runs.
YEP those are 8mm holes, so go and get a 10mm helicoil and see if the 8mm screws right in if so and no 8mm master cylinders can be found then get the ones with the 10mm and use the helicoil to mount them.

Hey Alleyoop ! It got really crazy around here for a while so, haven't logged on nor been able to get back to the scoot for a while. The scooter sits exactly as it was at my last post. No, I haven't had any luck locating one. I found a couple that to the EYE seem correct but, the vendors hadn't listed the pertinent specs and are too lazy to check for the specs that I need to be sure of. One even said to me "Sorry, can't help you beyond what we listed" , and they hadn't listed ANYthing about it other than a pic, and have multiple pieces in stock! Well, with no specs listed and no customer service, they can keep em too ! I found a moment to get to True Value to see if I could find a helicoil insert that might work but didn't score. Possibly GOOD news though, I cleaned up the leaked fluid around the handle and operated it this eve and it isn't leaking at the moment. I'm hoping that the seals may have just needed some time to swell a little and form to the brake cylinder. That would be great because, even ScrappyDogs didn't have the M.C. I needed. I'll have a couple days here that I can play with the scoot now so, if nothing gets in the way, maybe I can button her up and give her a go !
