i have a 50cc timec scooter. it started making intermittent grinding noises then it felt like the belt broke. the engine was running but the bike wouldnt move. the belt is only missing a tooth,even though the new belt is the same size it fits like its too big and there are metal shavings in the cover.
.could the rod the clutch sits on be bent or do i need to replace my clutch assembly?

SOunds like maybe it is your clutch. Can you take a video of it running and put it near the cvt so we can hear what noise it is makeing. ALso take the cvt cover off so we can see what the belt looks like on the pullys.
