hello just a quick 1 my starter button wont crank my engine and i have no brake lights when i pull the brakes. the bike will start if i jump the solenoid and apart from that everything else works fine like lights and indicators horn ect. any ideas what it could be before i spend the whole day stripping plastics and checking wires? many thanks kev.

ok, simple stuff first: is the brake light blown? is the fuse blown? why are we jumping the solenoid to start?

If all the other stuff works horn turn signals just your brake lights and solenoid then I would say it is the BRAKE SWITCH that is bad or disconnectd. Have you tried both brakes? Either Brake will feed voltage to the solenoid so try both brakes.

Did you do anything up front by the brakes and or by the solenoid?
