Hey I used to live in Toledo and Swanton 100 years ago lol.Looka like you had a great time.I am heading to Ohio this weekend.The southern part .

Cul, have fun. Watch out for I-75 in Dayton if you you go that far north......it is a NIGHTMARE! They have the whole interstate tore up with quick lane changes and extremely rough construction mini-detours. My Amore came loose on one particularly insane "bump" and I looked in the rear view mirror to see it bouncing up and down. I pull off in the unbelievably narrow break down lane on the right and tie it back off as semis and idiots in cars fly by dangerously at 80 MPH refusing to pull over to the right (what's wrong with people!?). I get it half way secured and creep to the next exit which was almost impossible to negotiate through the construction. While messing with the loading ramp it springs back and slams into my scalp, of course you know how a scalp cut is, blood starts gushing into my eyes and I can't see a thing. The wife, trying to help, stuffs napkins into my eyes to soak up the blood. So I'm running backwards from her shrieking 'it's my scalp...MY SCALP!" while she jambs paper into my eyes. She was just trying to help but the blood was coming out about four inches higher. After we finally get the acrobatics under control, I get my eyes wiped out and look up to see everybody at the nearby Waffle House pinned to the windows watching the show; nobody came out to help (what's wrong with people!?). I should have charged admission. I finally got cleaned up and on the road, smooth sailing after that. So anyway.....watch out for Dayton. Rich

Dayton is very close to me be real cool to have a group of people like that and just cruise! I ride with some of my friends they all have crotch rockets and Harleys and such but its fun would be cooler though to ride with other scoots plus they are always broke down( my friends with the motorcycles LOL thought u would think the China scoot would be always broke down) except one buddy is a pretty consistent rider and not ever broke down! I can keep up with them now I moved up to a 250 well as long as there not flying just cruising always tell them keep it under 70mph one friend I rode with was very surprised hes got a Triumph and shocked him when I was riding right with him get that alot people think cause its a scooter it will only do 35mph or so but I would defenitliy compare the 250cc scoots to a small 250cc motorcycle 80-85mph top speed with little me a 130lb guy! was fun to ride with my cousin when he rode my Wildfire 150 and Me on Bali 250 but didnt ride far the wildfire had no tags and insurance as I got it switched to my Roketa but sure would be cool to know more people around Marion Ohio with scoots to ride with!

Ah......Marion, nice town, been there many times. Yeah, you're right, people just don't realize a scooter will get up to 55 or 65mph. I think that's one reason they tailgate and pass so rudely; they see a scooter and just ASSUME it's going slow. They're probably too damn busy on their cellphones too! I miss Ohio sometimes, it's still got quite a bit of that mid-western friendly attitude, everybody talks too you. I noticed it when we were up in Toledo, Rich

yeah I surprised a van other day by passing it cruising about 55mph and I timed my scoot next to one of the MPH signs the city puts up on streets in town think its to see how many speed in certain areas? and it was 5mph fast so he was doing 50 and past with ease seeing a big wide open mouthed old man!! LOL also timed it with my buddys motorcyles when they ran 55mph I was running 61 maybe 62mph so its little off havent had her wide open but have had it to about 70mph with throttle left thats my scoots speedo saying 75 -77mph! but I hate it too when they always assume scooter its moving slow! have to always watch for people pulling out in front of me I know they see me they just think they have enough time but Im always hitting the breaks and nailing my horn! but yeah Marion is a nice little town U come thru to visit again with ur scoots and r close to marion send me a Email at [e-mail] always glad to meet another scooter lover and maybe be able to meet up for a ride!
