What I am seeing is you had water in the carb on the bottom,,,,that's why the bowl is corroded where the water was,,,,maybe you have a little in the tank and it getting sucked in when you're moving

cyborg, Does water float on top of gas, sink to the bottom, or does it mix with it?

Found the answer,,
Best Answer: Water does not mix with gasoline. It is much heavier then gasoline. Therefore, it sinks to the bottom of your fuel tank, and therefore, since this is where in intake is to the fuel pump its gets sucked into you carbuator or fuel injector and plays havoc with your engine.

If you have 10% Ethanol gas it will also blend with the gas. That is what Ethanol was originally used for.

Yea it sinks,,,that's why the corrosion is on the bottom of the bowl,,,depends how your tank is shaped you may have intermittent sputtering and stalling if you have a bit in the tank and it gets in the pickup,,,no panic if it's just an ounce or two,,,but if it were me I'd be draining the tank or get some dry gas that will absorb it,,,if you stored the bike like you did last season I wouldn't be surprised one bit if there was an ounce or two in there
