tonymc gy6 150cc will only start with starting fluid and shut down after a few minutes. have a spark and fuel to carb, my compression shows 90. will low compression cause it to shut down after starting

try adjusting the valves. this may increase compression.

my only question how did you test compression? If with a compression tester and how many cranks did you do. After that did you put in a tablespoon of oil in spark plug hole and test again did the compression change any?

I'm having the same problem I thought it was the carb so I bought a new one,still cranks all day but won't start unless I spray carb cleaner through the intake mani
Some scooter mechanic saids to elimination all my emmisions he saids that's def the problem so I'm gonna try that tomorrow morin and hopefully get it running
