if the old belt worked good before, is it common that it is too big to use now that I haven't used it in a couple weeks? I just tried installing it and its too big but it worked good before?

scooter shop cost $50 for a diagnosis and all it was was the air mixture screw was off. Made me feel like an idiot to spend $50 for turning the screw about a half a turn, lol

Is the outside part of the variator sliding freely on the boss? No binding?,,, also there is the rear pulley halves sliding in and out freely( there is spring tension),,, and too long of a belt will do it also

graphite lube or nothing at all near the roller weights? I heard it helps to use graphite lube but just want to make sure. I can imagine there are different experiences so I thought I would get clarification

What about the rear variator. It needs to get smaller. If it does not, maybe the front wont allow the belt to get to the top, and it will not be getting to full speed because the rear is too big.
