recently when I press the start button to turn the scooter on, it does absolutely nothing and I have to kick start it. I have been having to kick start the scooter for the last two weeks. Before that, I could tell there was something getting shorted when I try to press the start button because it would not engage if the wheel was turned the wrong direction and only when I turn the wheel in to a good position where it catches, it will work fine every time. But now, even that good position it has completely stopped working. Im not a professional but im guessing its obviously a loose or almost broken wire or connection. If so, which one is it? Is it a symptom of the start solenoid gone bad?

graphite lube or nothing at all near the roller weights? I heard it helps to use a small amount of graphite lube but just want to make sure. I can imagine there are different views so I thought I would ask as I am fairly new.
Also, before I was able to feel a powerband on my scooter before adjusting the air mixture so with that said, would I need to richen it or lean it out to raise the rpm or to achieve the powerband.
I took it to a scooter shop and payed for an hour of their labor to diagnose it from not being able to get past 22mph and finally they diagnosed it and adjusted it (air mixture screw) to a much better setting but didn't fine tune it. I thought it was the idle screw before I figured out what it was but now there is no powerband and im wondering what I would need to do to achieve it again as it is still very slightly sluggish during mid and high end torque. Thank you

Drilled hole method worked good and the other problem has also been fixed. It was the air mixture screw needed turning. Thanks

If I order the replacement brake switch without the wire, can the old wire easily be reused with the new switch?

Scooter shop helped me diagnose it for their flat rate of $50 per hour and all it was was the air mixture screw needed to be turned about 1/2 a turn. I was determined to get it working again so I did and luckly thats all it was! I also installed a performance air filter for $20 and now my top speed is about 39mph. But for some reason, I cannot feel the powerband like I use to and I think its possible that I can get it again and another 5-10 mph more with some proper tuning. Im wondering if I should get the yellow or red contra spring and heavier rollers to compensate so that my acceleration is better and not so much of the new dead spots that im noticing. Is it possible that air mixture is still not perfect and maybe thats why I am not achieving a powerband? Any other suggestions? Im loving this scooter compared to the motorized bicycles that I have been riding for years. Scooters are much more comfortable. Thanks

scooter shop cost $50 for a diagnosis and all it was was the air mixture screw was off. Made me feel like an idiot to spend $50 for turning the screw about a half a turn, lol

if the old belt worked good before, is it common that it is too big to use now that I haven't used it in a couple weeks? I just tried installing it and its too big but it worked good before?

I think its possible it could be the new kevlar belt that I bought off ebay but im not sure. I just started it to see I could hear anything and I thought I heard the belt slipping but I could be wrong. Is there any way to run the engine without the case because my scooter usually needs the case with the kick start mechanism in it? I wouldn't know if its actually the belt unless I bought a new one because the old one oddly seems to big now Thanks

already checked the rollers, even tried putting new ones and the stock variator and I do not have a tach. Maybe Ill have to try heavier weights.
