Hello. I'm new to the forum. My husband & I just picked up a 150cc IceBear Trike this weekend. From my internet research I believe it is the IceBear Viking Trike (although none of the paperwork actually says that). We bought it from a guy who has had it in storage for a little over a year. The scooter starts but you have to give it gas to get it to start and then it dies if not given throttle. It doesn't idle. It did once after my husband took it out and ran it hard for a few minutes.
Sean says he will clean out the carb and mess with the idle adjustments. But thought I'd ask the pros for any advise on getting this thing running well. Any thoughts, tips, things to try are appreciated.

If you let it sit a while use stable gas treatment it will save you from you having to do this. They also have treatment if you have methanol in your gas you should use is regular. We have 3 Ice Bear trike's 300cc Zodiacs great bikes for the money.

Thank you for responding! Hubby said something about taking the carb off and cleaning it out good. He's pretty good at wrenching on bikes. We have always had motorcycles and he does all the work. He still has his Harley Ultra Classic. So this scooter I will hop around town on and we will take it to motorcycle rallies to navigate the property easily. I have plans on making this thing look cool as hell. But need it running properly first.

Crawford is right on the money,,,it's a gummed up idle circuit in the carb ,,,have the hubster give it a thorough cleaning and you're good to go,,,turn the air fuel mixture screw in all the way and back it out 2 1/2 turns to 2 3/4 turns and she'll be running much better,,,the a/f screw may be under a sheet metal cap,,,there's a how to in the library on how to remove the cap without messing anything up

Carb looked good. One issue...no air filter in the casing. Ordered a air filter , fuel filter, gas treatment and oil.
