Managed to run into an issue where the timing chain is too tight. The chain tensioner was even removed. We even attempted to see if we could spin it on and still too tight. We didn't want to apply force so we called it a night. We even tighten everything down to make sure the jug was fully on at one point. What could cause this? We will be returning sunday to hopefully complete the job, we are going to ensure we re verify the the old gaskets are fully removed. We cleaned those areas, but I guess at this point you never know.. Any thoughts and pointers are appreciated. We will be taking the entire motor off Sunday plus dissembling that side of the crankcase just so we can fully check it out. Side note: I ordered this camshaft, but the mechanic teaching me said he thinks it's poor quality. And that the holes represent typically cutting cost www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00Y8FP4ZY?psc=1&ref=yo_pop_mb_yo_pop_mb_pd_t2I personally thought it was for lighter. My stock one measures out to be the same. Just no holes other than for the timing. *72cc kit

Your Mechanic doesnt have a Clue. this is beginner, room 101 group A1A for some so called Mechanic. The Holes are to Lighten the Cam Sprocket, its Rotating Mass, Its Costs Money$$$ to drill the holes. Hard to find some cam sprockets for cycle tav that Don't have the holes in them. Here are some very high quality Cam Sprockets for my CBR by APE. Guessing you can't get the Cam chain on the Cam? There a bunch of you tube videos on GY cam installation.

Thank you for the reply, I guess my post never sent >.<
We managed to get everything right. The new kit is probably broken in by now. It sat and idled the first time for an hour without giving it any throttle. Failed to realize the kit would kill the starter.
We also restarted the bike and let it run while bringing it back to my house, that was honestly a gag trip late at night.
We finally revved it a few and it sounds amazing. He said not to fear any metal flakes if any. Haven't seen any oddly. Went ahead and did an oil change.
I honestly changed out a lot of parts and updated some that were still ten years old from the bike itself.
When I took it for a simple drive around the country, I only maxed it at 6,000 rpm for now. It's spunky, but I think it's time to replace the gear set. I just keep reading you need a hydrologic press or something >.<
