I have a 1985 Honda Elite 150. I had a leak at the gasket to the float chamber, fixed that, re-assembled everything, now I am pumping fuel out of the vent on top of the carb as soon as I start to crank it. What have I done wrong ? thanks

1. I would check the needle valve under the float arm. Make sure the arm is not bent too low never turning off the flow of gas when the carb bowl is full. There are photos on the web showing what it should look like when proper. 2. Make sure the needle valve is on the correct side of the float arm. 3. Check to see if the needle valve point is damaged. 4. Check to see if the needle valve seat is damaged or has rust etc in it. Just some ideas to check.
