I have been thinking about selling off the 50cc Cub clone but there was one little hitch. The battery went dead three years ago and I haven't started it in two years. It has a kick starter and always fired up. I tried to start it lately but it was not having it. Well today I was determined. The one good thing about it is that the centrifugal clutch engages when you push it in gear. Now consider this. IT HAS NOT RUN IN TWO YEARS. The gas was two years old and should be sludge, right? Two push runs and it fired right up and after a few minutes on choke settled into a steady idle. After it warmed up I did a nice five mile ride and it didn't miss a beat.

I just laughed. What a little trooper.

I've sold a few bikes in my time ,,,I hate letting them go and have regretted selling them on more than one occasion ,,,some I sent off happily,,others I let go and almost miss them daily

Those thoughts crossed my mind, believe me. For a 50cc this thing just hauls. I sold off the Kymco Like a month ago and it wasn't anywhere near as fast. The little bike runs 45 mph easily and gets 130 mpg. I just have to thin the herd and with what I have the 150cc scoot is a good substitute. It's like choosing between the 09 Rebel and the 91 Nighthawk. I know I just have to keep the Hawk but the Rebel has the same engine, is newer and has less mileage. Decisions, decisions.

I installed the new battery this afternoon. All of $12.00 plus shipping. The gear indicator light blazed on and the bike started on the electric starter in seconds. Jeez I will miss this bike.

Then don't sell it,,,it's a peach and doesn't cost anything to run and insurance has to be dirt cheap,,,sell the fashion or the 750,,
