For the price of five Bintelli 50cc scooters you can have the equivalent electric performance. Piaggio says it has built the Elettrica to serve as the equivalent of a 50cc scooter, pointing out that roughly half the scooters sold in the United States are of that capacity or less. One wonders, however, how many 13-year-olds there are in the Land of Enchantment who have $7,499 to meet the Elettrica’s asking price. Normally, one of the selling points of a 50cc scooter is that it’s cheap. www.motorcyclistonline.com/2019-vespa-elettrica-scooter-first-ride-review

It turns out that Piaggio scooter sales have decreased 20% in each of the last two years. From what I've gleaned from my contacts Chinese scooter sales are growing in the 50cc arena. I won't mention their name but one scooter dealer I have seen sells everything from Taotao to Vespa and is thriving.

I can't see Vespa selling that hot,,,the local dealer went out 6-8 months ago and is not missed an iota,,,crazy parts and service prices set them packing,,I see more Taiwanese and Chinese scoots than Italian ,,,and they aren't even Italian anyways,,,piaggio has been using Taiwan and Chinese engines for years now
