I will admit that I have been a fan of Lance scooters since I first heard of them in 2008. This week they did something that cemented my opinion. I was emailing Dave Harrington at justgottascoot.com when he told me that he hadn't been able to road test a scooter for over a year. He has been shunned by scooter distributors since he won't accept advertising that would allow them editorial interference. I mistakenly assumed that Lance was part of the policy and in an email on their site I expressed my displeasure. Not two minutes after I hit the enter button my phone rang with Mike Hickman of Alliance Powersports on the line. He told me that Dave could test his scooters anytime since Dave let them know what the strengths and weaknesses of his line were in a constructive manner. To say that I was surprised that anyone at Lance,much less Mike Hickman, would get back to me would be an understatement. It only shows that not only is Alliance is in it for the long run, but that they listen to scooter owners seriously. Keep that in mind next time you're looking for a scooter.
