Trying to start a 2005 Yamaha YJ50 2-stroke. It has a spark, fuel, and compression. It sounds like it is trying to start but has a screeching sound when either electric starting or kick starting. Cleaned carb and did a compression check. Any suggestions? -DougW

Most likely the previous owner ran it out of oil and there was a soft seize,,,pull the head and see if the cylinder is scored
