Hi the wife has a hornet and it is hard starting and stalling issues.

When first starting when it starts it will only take about 1/4 throttle then stall not enough RPMs to be able to ride.

After it runs for 5-10 mins it will run and is ridable. What should I be checking for the problem.

So far good spark compression seems good new gas. Very low mileage.

What should the valve lash be set at?

Any help and suggestion appreciated she loves her scoot

4 thousandths on the valves,,,I'd think you'll need to test the auto choke and I'd go thru the carb to make sure it's clean
