Hello. I have a 1985 Yamaha QT50. I use it for travel around town and to get groceries. Several months ago, it began having a rough idle and failed to pass 25 MPH, (where it would usually continue to around 32ish). I'm stumped on what to do, so I'm finally coming to a forum for better assistance. It has an exhaust leak at the gasket, but I know that isn't the problem, (I mishandled it when I replaced it). Below are the parts I have already replaced.
Cylinder, Piston, Piston Rings, Gasket, Piston Bearing, Crank Seal, Intake/Reed Gasket, Fuel Lines, and the Float Needle in Carb. I don't think I need to mention this, but I did clean out the carb. The Reeds are steel, and do not appear bent or misshapen in any way.
My next idea is towards the CDI but I want to take the advice of someone else before I drop more money on the scooter.
