I have a Honda foresight 250 which runs well around town up to 45mph but as soon as you attempt to open the throttle it does'nt respond and you lose speed so you then have to relax ther throttle to get the speed back any helpful suggestions welcome Thanx in advance.

My best guess is you have a vacuum leak in a hose. Check the fuel pump line from the carburetor to the pump. Also the intake manifold. If it has a crack in it your mixture runs lean.
