Hi everyone, first post so sorry if this is wrong section, and also very long lol
i just bought a used 150cc Wolf Rugby a month ago that i have been playing around with. It was in great shape when i got it and seemed to be very taken care of (950 miles)
i've had some experience with scooters in the past (had a 50cc i derestricted and tried different roller weights)
I've seen and read on youtube clips that my scooter can hit 60mph+ stock. Mine was doing about 54mph (slight tailwind / gps verified) which isn't bad at all. But the weird part is that when i ride with a passenger who adds another 160lbs, i barely lose any speed at all (around 50mph top speed) which leads me to believe that my scooter can go faster.
for background i am on the lighter side (less than 165lbs). My stock rollers were 17g. I upjetted from 105 to 108 just to make sure i wasn't running lean. No change in performance so i'm happy to run it slightly richer to be safe.
I have a dragy gps timer so i have done many 0-30mph and top speed tests with both the 17g stock rollers and 14g koso sliders i tried.
Results were as predicted. Faster accel and slower top speed with lighter weights best time with 17g rollers = 5.01s with an average of ~ 5.2s and top speed of 54mph @ 8750 rpm best time with 14g sliders = 4.64 with an average of ~ 4.9s and top speed of 52 @ 9250 rpm
I decided to stick with the 17g rollers as i prefer top speed and the scooter felt like it was screaming past 9k rpms with the lighter sliders. I also live in south florida and rarely encounter a hill.
As of today after countless youtube videos, i finally figured out which hoses are useless and have removed my EGR system and replaced the stock airbox with a nibbi pipe and UNI filter. I also upjetted to 115 main jet.
I know without an exhaust, not much gains can be expected with just an air filter but i was pleasantly surprised when i did some 0-30 tests today.
I immediately hit my fastest time ever of 4.43s with and average of about 4.7s and that is with the 17g rollers. but my top speed has remained almost exactly the same. 50mph headwind / 54 tailwind.
Do you guys have any suggestions as to what might be holding back that top speed? i almost want to go even heavier on the rollers, as 8750 RPM still seems high and out of the power range. I'd be fine with dropping back to a 5.0s 0-30 if i can gain some top end. But everywhere i read says thats way too heavy for a 150cc.
thanks for any help!

If you want to get more top end speed, you will need to consider "gearing up". Check out some you tube videos from "Rolling Wrench" about gaining more top speed.
