I am getting a scooter for a second around town commuter vehicle around the DFW area.

I am leaning towards a used reliable name scooter, but my budget is about $1000.

I have been looking at scooters for about a week now and have seen the boxed ones you get from Amazon.com.  My husband is saying we should get on from a dealer, but the ones in my price range are just the ones you get from Amazon put together for you.

That said-  If I do get an Amazon scooter I am leaning towards an IceBear vs a Tao Tao.   What are repair costs like for either scooter?

I've seen scooters like a 2009 Aprilia or Dongfang Super 200 - Sport Style Scooter both for about 1000 on Facebook Marketplace.

If you can get one from a dealer in your price range that is always your best bet. You will have someone to take it to for parts and repairs. Scooters aren't cars. They require regular maintenance.
