A while back I asked you all for help getting a 150cc to start. I ended up getting it going all and well, but a while ago it started doing this thing where when I'm going up a steep hill, it'll make a "clunk" sound and I'll feel a physical kick in the motor, then it dies. It starts back up, but it feels like it turns over weird for like 3 cranks then something seems to catch then it turns over normal, starts back up, and runs fine again.
Anyway, I said f*ck it and bought a brand new 150cc motor still in the crate from a close friend. I know its untouched because I was there when it was delivered to his house. He had plans, but never did anything with it so it sat in the crate for over a year. My problem is, the "bad" motor is DC and the new motor is AC. I put a new stator in the DC one when I first bought it, and it has less than 100 miles on it since then. So the stator is basically brand new. If I pull the DC stator and flywheel out of the old motor and put them into the new AC motor, will it basically become a DC motor? I don't want to have to rewire the whole bike
