Well talk about weird, I just checked my e-mail and there was an answer from Bill Hower the owner. So I take back everything I said about him not responding. Turns out the cap IS vented even though there's no visible vent hole. Also he told me that he does a lot of scooter work but mainly through his other site called Tour Tank. Rich
