Denise,
From what I've seen of Missouri and California, I'd much rather live in Missouri.
The only city I liked in CA is San Fransisco.
MO is beautiful, what they haven't screwed up, that is. KC was just a big nasty city.
We will probably be relocating back to Texas next year, our state elections went sooooo badly here. We love Austin.
Maybe I'll get to meet Willie Nelson again!

I think that you haven't seen much of California, then. If you get a chance, check it out. Just don't go to the cities-- most of California is rural. Missouri is pretty, but not gorgeous, like my home state. It also has horrible weather.
