I'm a little stumped, I want to know how the variator and clutch work in a CVT. I need a better understanding, in other words I need to be taken to "class."

Help please--What size CVT belt should go into my 1985 Honda Elite CH150D scoot? Will 835 20 30 fit? I just tore to pieces a 799 belt. Any ideas as to proper size belt will be greatly appreciated.

If that CVT takes a 799, the 835 would be to big:

799mm= 31.45 inchs
835mm= 32.87 inchs
