Thank you for your help with lost power on my sons 50cc hanglong "hair dryer" lol the end to the problem was a sheard woodruff key on the magneto which put the timing out by about 20 degrees no wonder it would not run. had to re shape the crank sharft end in situe where it had taken the edge off the key way and so i could fit a bigger more manly woodruff key and bingo all sorted runs like a dream now. Might have to do a bit of tweeking with fule mixture over the week end but apart from that all is good and most important i have a happy son again lol

Well I don't know how much thanks we warrant on that one, looks like you found that on your own, kudos! We try to learn from other's experiences so hopefully we can keep yours in the brain trust. Yes, I think you hit on something not many of us have run into. As a matter of fact I have not heard of anyone else having that trouble. That was a hard sucker to figure out, but KUDOS to you now we all will keep that in the back of our minds and make sure we check for that on no starts. And to add "WHAT A GREAT DAD".
