Hello Kitty! I have seen theses stock 80cc bolt on QMB replacement engines on other sites too. The price seems right and if they are "Bolt On" I would love one or five. Keep us posted PJ!!! Never heard of a stock 80cc scoot being sold. Where are the stock scoots with this engine? Are these just a QMB with a BBK?

The engine above is actually an option on Tank scooters before they went out of business. You could say it part of an "upgrade" like you used to be able to do with cars. The car orginally was a stock v6 but if you want the v8 package it was considered an 'upgrade" I think you understand what I'm talking about. My question is what to do with Betsy(the motor I'm taking out)? I'm thinking of a 100cc racing motor just to have for fun.

That makes sense! Thanks for the info but, why are these engines showing up now? Not enough people upgrading? I am looking to buy a cheap non running scoot with my tax refund for a first time build and thought one of these 80s would make a decent starting point. I look forward to reading more about Betsy!!!

Bong if you call Rapidjim he has them. I have mine all mounted and it run's however I did have some advice PLEASE TAKE PICTURES! even if you buy one of those ell $5 cheepo's because I didn't take many and some of the area's that I needed one to look at for areference I didn't use it. However I will be posting what I have in a few days of what I did to this scooter. Man does that mother run!. in the end what RPM'S should this thing run at my guage says about 1800 it is a full needle mark before 2000 and the back wheel barely turns. Next emmision controls I don't want to throw them away and I know I'll never use them again is there any DIY's for what I can use the tubes and canasters if not well I hate to fill the landfill but I don't want to keep them around if nothing can be used with them. the hose's I will keep cause ya never know
