I am just about ready to scream! I'm gonna pick up some gear oil and put it back together today. Take it for a spin around the neighborhood. Once it starts it's crap I'll video tape it. Maybe that will help. Will it hurt anything to drive it without the cvt cover on? I'd like to be able to see in there once it starts.

No it will not hurt anything with the CVT cover off as long as the CVT cover DOES not SUPPORT anything as well, like maybe a short shaft with a gear by the Variator for starting it or something. Alleyoop

Skytex, If you added the larger wider one, that means the axle moved out that far(NOT GOOD). That means that in the Differential the Key on the Spider Gear Sleeve MAY NOT be holding the axle in place good enough and the Spider Gear is Actually Slipping out of the Axle Slot.
Are you sure the Splines on the HUB are not Slipping around on the Axle Splines. Jack one wheel up and put the breaks on and see if the HUB turns on the Axle.
Or if you can hear it slipping inside the Differential. Alleyoop Alleyoop

Ok I jacked it up. I can't make anything slip. The tire on the other side will start spinning the opposite way despite the brakes if I put enough force on it. Yeah the axle may have slipped out that much. What do I try now?

Skytex, That is ok that the other wheel spins the opposite way not a problem, that is due to the Spider gears inside(not a problem) it's what they call an OPEN DIFFERENTIAL one of the simpliest differentials around. When making a turn the Inner wheels will turn less than the outside wheel which is good(won't eat up the bearings). Alleyoop

So I'm still stuck with the original problem. All I got left is to stick the wheel back on. It's being a pain since it seems the fender brace has moved a bit.

The Fender brace is held onto the axle tube by a steel clamp and held on with two bolts on the bottom part of the clamp. Just move on the Axle tube where it is centered and not hitting your inner part of the tire and then tighten the Bolts THEY ACTUALLY screw in and they have a Nut on the TOP. Alleyoop See the Clamp, so position your fenders where you want them and then tighten the clamp so it does not move.

Lol actually I was a dumbass. I had the hub on backwards. Why I haven't messed with the bear all week cause I been too tired when I get home. However! I got it on right, fired it up for the first time in over a month. Maybe even 2. Cranked right up, let it run an warm up hoping it would start jumping. It didn't. So i took it on a 4 mile ride or so. Nothing. I'm gonna ride it in to work in the morning and see what happens. If it starts it's crap I'll get it on tape. If the 20 or so miles to work don't start it nothin will.

Skytex, You know it could just be your Clutch Slipping, it sounds just like some nasty crap is happening with the gears or axle back there. If it happens again, take the Clutch off and sand the Pads and rough up the inside of the bell a little with sand paper. Alleyoop

Yeah I'll try that. So far it hasn't done it again. Rode the 18 miles into work and it did fine. I'm hoping all is well and I can drop the 50 on those new gears.

Still not messing up. It's still blowing oil though from somewhere and leaking it. However it only leaks when I've been riding it so only when hot.
