WOW!! 8900 rpms that sucker is screaming with 12G Sliders HOLY SMOKES!! Ok in one way it is good your motor is cranking such high rpms at 55mph. That means you can probably put in 14G Sliders and drop your RPMS by 1000 rpms Hopefully bringing it down into around 7800 rpms. Plus with that amount of rpms, Get yourself a Performance Variator that has a 115mm Variator same size as your Fan Pulley. That will allow the belt to climb about another 3/8 inch and you should pick up some more top end.
I have the PRODIGY VARIATOR and no complaints. Alleyoop

Hello Again Ally, To bring you up to date I'm now using 16 gr rollers. It still tops out about 55 at 8000. Would I get an improvement if I changed the gear on the engine case to a higher ratio. If so who do I get the parts from. Its the same model as yours Ice Bear. This trike seems to have a lot of unharnessed power. Thanks

I saw the answer on front sprocket forum. I have the 24 tooth. I tried to look up the ice bear parts site in internet but couldn' find anything.

Here is where I got my Taller Tranny Gears, I put in 16/37 replaceing the OEM 13/40 gears. www.partsforscooters.com/Gear_set_gy6Changing to the 29 tooth sprocket will get you a couple more mph top end. I ordered mine Directly from IB. You may have to go through a dealer you can ASK JIM from Rapidrepair I am sure he can order one for you. You can also get taller KENDA LOAD TIRES they are great, I have the 205-65x10 replaced the OEM 225-40x10s. The 205s are 3 inches taller more distance per revolution(HEHE). I do not know if yours came with 10inch rims or 12s. If 12s the only ones you can get in 12s are 255-50x12s. Alleyoop

Alleyoop there is also a 215-50/12 but I can't remember who makes them. I was looking at them before Mike and I got the 255s.

Yea you can find them but you have to watch out for the speed rating on them. You need at Least a speed rating of "J" which is 62MPH: I found the 215/50/12 DOT but they all where rated "F" only 50mph and that is NOT FAST ENOUGH FOR US HOTRODDERS F=50 G=56 J=62 K=68 L=75 M=81 N=87 Alleyoop

I would think so too...But than when we were looking for tires for the Magnum I saw many not rated for hwy use. If I had seen DOT approved I would have been sucked in...Ouch..65mph and BANG
