Anybody know where one can get Clutch Springs that are less than 1000 rated springs?
I have the NCY performance Clutch which has really nice Pads that are 1" longer than a regualer Clutch. They grab more of the bell and less chance of slipping.
The Springs on the NCY Clutch are to strong I think they are rated at 1500 and it has to rev 4000-4500 before they engage which I do not like. I Tried the Springs from the OEM Clutch but they do not fit they are about 1/16-1/8 to long. Alleyoop

Ok Troops, As I mentioned before I bought a NCY Performance Clutch which has bigger pads, but the Springs are to strong and require 4500 rpms to move my Trike.
So naturally I ordered 1000 NCY springs thinking well NCY Springs are made for the NCY Clutch(WRONG MOOSE BREATH. The Springs do not fit they are to long. So I emailed a few of the dealers and the one I bought the springs from and asked what the springs in the NCY performance Clutch are rated at AND if they have Springs that FIT the Clutch. TO DATE NO ONE has responded because sorry to say they do not know crap. And I hate to say it but the dealers have their banners are on the forum.
So I took it onto myself to find out WHY the springs are to long and maybe help others save their hard earned money and NOT ORDER Different Rated Springs IF they purchased a NCY Performance Clutch.
I took the NCY Clutch apart and I took the OEM Clutch apart and found WHY the 1000,1500,2000 SPRINGS they sell you WILL NOT FIT the NCY Performance Clutch EVEN THOUGH the Springs are NCY SPRINGS(at least for the 150s).
The Reason is this, the Studs that the Pads go on are spaced Differently. The OEM Studs are spaced out 2 13/16 while the NCY Clutch Studs are 2 11/16.
So what I did is take the PADS off the NCY Mounting Bracket and took the OEM Clutch Bracket and SWAPPED the NCY PADS onto the OEM Bracket. Now I used the OEM SPRINGS which are EVEN LIGHTER than the 1000 rated Springs. I will install it tomorrow and see how that works out. Alleyoop

SUCCESS!! I installed the Performance Clutch about an hour ago and tested it out. The Trike now starts to move right around 2200 RPMS, AWESOME!! Alleyoop

Allright! That's one to put in the books for future reference. I was willing to bet the Trike guy would figure it out. Rich

Not only that but If I want I can NOW use the 1000 rated springs(Blue) to bump it to close to 3000 rpms before the trike moves. So I did not waste my dough just some brain power and time. Alleyoop

OK Troops, Steven from MONSTERCY6 responded to my inquire about the NCY Clutch and Springs. They were on vacation so that is why he had not yet responded.
But here is the POOPl NCY HAS SPECIAL SPRINGS for their NCY CLUTCHs. So the regular springs you see everyone selling WILL NOT FIT the NCY CLUTCH they are to big(long).
Steve sent me a set of NCY 1000 rpms Springs that DO FIT the NCY CLUTCH and get this NO CHARGE. I offered to pay for the springs IF they fit and he emailed me to not worry about payment. I received the Springs today and the INVOICE is $0.00 dollars.
So If you get a NCY CLUTCH just remember you have to get NCY SPRINGS. I also just want to say thank you to Steve from MONSTERCY6. Alleyoop

Back again, well riding around I find that the OEM springs grabbing at around 2200 RPMS is not ideal at least for my liking. I found that as I am cranking down a street and having to let up due to a stop light or stop sign the Trike has no free wheeling distance. The clutch is still grabbing until the rpms are down to almost 2000 rpms by that time I am almost at the stop sign or light and the Trike is still pulling.
So I today I took the clutch off and took the pads off the OEM bracket and put the NCY Clutch back together with its orginal parts and put on the 1000 NCY SPECIAL SPRINGS Steve from Monstercy6 sent me. I have to tell you I am getting good at taken the clutch apart it took me all of 15 minutes to take the Clutch that was on the trike off take it apart and put the NCY back to its orginal state with the NCY 1000 springs and back on the Trike.
Took the trike out for a test ride and WHOLA!! it now moves right around 3200 rpms and now I have some free wheeling when coming to a stop sign or stop light.
I have one more thing I have to work on and that is that the motor will only get up to 7000 rpms and no higher. Now I have 11g Dr. Pulley Sliders in and during my testing over a year ago 11 grams would get me around 7800 rpms. I had this problem earlier before the BBK and never really dealt with it. But now that the problem is still there with the BBK It sort of points to maybe could be the Purple Performance CDI that is acting up. So hopefully tomorrow I will put on the NCY Performance CDI and see if it gets me more rpms with the current setup. Alleyoop
