Hey trike scootes! New to the site, somewhat new to the scooter thing. I have a Icebear PST150-11 have had it for a few months. Have no concerns.
However, One, I have a few things I'd like to change.
Second, I have a few things I've seen here and on other sites of upgrades. That you folks have done.
Not doing this to make it a speed thing. Doing it for fun more then anything. However, some of the things I'd like to do are for comfort and maybe some safety.
So,
Things I'd Like To Do! 1) Rear shocks. On my bike they seem to ride a little firm. Any suggestions? 2) My bike came with a rear trunk. I've already fixed the rattle in the rear fender. However, I have a nasty rattle in the trunk. Any suggestions 3) The exhaust/muffler really don't like the spring thing holding the down pipe to the muffler. As well, I've seen post about the mufflers falling apart. Again I have no concerns but, if this is an upgrade I would consider. 4) I've seen posy about the variator weights and clutch springs. I'm reading things and don't know I understand it. What will this do if I change it out for me? Is it a concern with the OEM parts?
Any suggestions, ideas, things you did to your trike that made it run better, safer etc. I'm open for all ideas!
Thanx

Welcome Phillymark, 1. I haven't done anything about the shocks so I cannot comment on them but they do have adjustable ones But they are not cheap. 2. Rattles are a pain, but I get weather stripping the thinnest you can get and put it along the edge where it closes IF that is where it is loose. If it is loose to the bracket underneath then you can put some foam under there to settle it down. 3. The mufflers are not the best and the baffles will soon break inside and rattle and may also plug the exit. You can order a whole new exhaust from IB last time I paid $126.00 that includes muffler brackets and header pipe the entire system. But after 3 months same crap so I was not about to be paying 126.00 every 3-4 months so I got a supertrapp muffler and had a 1 1/4 header pipe made. 4. Clutch Springs do not bother, if you have a lot of hills in your area and your looseing rpms climbing them, then you might try a 1000 Contra Spring but no stronger than that. Here is a write up I did for the CVT. Alleyoop www.scooterdoc.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=techs&thread=4495
