Well today went for a ride and noticed a different sound coming from my muffler. So kept going and parked were we always park about 2 miles away and shoot the crap while I have a smoke. Got off the trike to see what that different sound was coming from and my Header Pipe where it connects to the Muffler Broke off Got home and took it off and put on the new one I had when i ordered a new muffler. But here is what the one that was on looked like. By the Flange there is 1/4 inch of Weld covering almost half around the outlet So tomorrow I am going to the Hot Rod Welder and have him make a header for me. Thicker guage and hopefully all in one piece except for the Part that hooks onto the muffler Alleyoop

Ok, the saga continues, with the New Header pipe I put on while a good one is being fabricated. The new one the exhaust flange was worse than the one that broke. Picture below. Anyway cleaned it up the best way I could and slapped it on with a new round gasket. Well it would backfire coming down to a stop or if I let off the throttle quickly but it would only POP when the rpms were almost down and coming to a stop. Otherwise it was fine. So I took it off again and it was black all over the FLANGE LEAKING like a siff So I went to the auto parts store and bought a sheet of Gasket material, some kind of material on both sides with metal gasket in between. Took the Header Pipe and drew the outline of it and cut it out along with drilling the two holes for the studs. Then used Red ATV 600degree and put a bead of it around the Exhaust Outlet which also helped to keep the Gasket in Place. Put that on and now its all fixed NO MORE Popping or backfireing at Low Rpms coming to a stop or letting off the throttle quickly. Here is the Exhaust Outlet, QUALITY IS OUR MOST IMPORTANT PRODUCT(YEA RIGHT) And I thought the one that came off was bad LOOKS PRETTY ROUND TO ME DON"T YOU THINK Alleyoop
