Hi, I have a 2008 Wildfire 50WFH50 with 139QMB engine. Whenever I try to start it I have to turn the throttle a bit to get it to turn over. Once it starts it runs OK. There's only a little play in the throttle cable. Is it possible the automatic choke is acting up? Thanks to all in advance..

You're retired now? I hate you.... . Yep, could be the autochoke. If you want to test it take it off and hook it up to a 12v battery, the leads don't matter. After a few minutes the plunger should come out about 3/16", if not it's bad. You can take that slack out of the cable by adjusting the two bolts on each side of the cable mounting bracket on the right side of the carb. That doesn't affect your idle or starting issue though. Now go ponder this with all of your retired spare time . Rich
