Wow, that guy got hosed. $80.00/hour seems stiff for just the labor costs but I guess they have to pay the light bills. Hey Cookees, if you're reading this is $80.00/hour SOP in the powersports biz? What frosts me is there's a scooter dealer here in town that charge's $60.00/hour but that's the minimum charge if they touch it. If they replace a mirror it's the cost of the mirror plus $60.00. I've never used a dealer but I've had a lot of people tell me the same thing about the place. The guy stays busy though, it just shows you how desperate people are to find somebody that works on scooters.
Not to hijack your thread here but speaking of surprise charges, if the Scooter Depot ads are still present on that page when you folks go to the link, I see they are still advertising dirt cheap prices and then adding warranty and shipping charges. Rich

For awhile Scooter Depot was charging more for their Helix replica than some other online dealers. I asked the online help, "What's up with that?" It was the same Sunny scooter and Scooter Depot is Sunny Sports. Eventually everybody else raised their prices on the scooter and match the crazed price.
