That's the one thing I haven't taken a hammer to and see what's inside. However, The switch just makes contact and sends juice back to the brake light. On the way the starting circuit uses that electricity to supply the starter button to activate the solenoid relay. That's why you have to pull the brake handle it before the starter will work. I assume the insides look roughly like this:
If you decide to break it apart let us know exactly what it looks like inside. Rich

OK. if it warms up today I will look at it. Might just be dirty, stuck. It is in the 40s here and we are not used to the cold here in Florida

WD-40 can be sprayed on anything electrical and will not cause a short and may loosen some crud preventing the component from working. Try spraying some into whatever access holes you can see, it won't hurt anything. My father-in-law who was an electrician for 60 years told me that. Rich

OK, pull the switch and it is dual purpose, also for starting and the switch for the break has a broken spring in it. Is a sealed unit so I just ordered another unit $20.98 pluss shipping.
Thanks Rich

I took it off the bike Rich and checked it, the inside spring is broke, you can puch it in and out and feel something is broke in there. I can ride for now knowing I have to touch the front break to have lights but the new one is ordered
