Lowered the psi to 11 and went out for a 25 mile ride. All went well I kept up with traffic (45mph speed limit) but when I wanted to go faster the acceleration was not there. Trike pulls well to 45-50 but sort of dies after that . Not sure what top speed would be. GPS showed the speedo to be about 2 mph faster than actual. I hit 1 bump and heard a screeching sound from the rear not sure what it was. Tires do not have any marks on them.

Look at the fender edges all around the tire and you will see that the tire is wearing it down. De careful as it can be knife also. Just pull the four bolts holding the rear and place a spacer in and your good. I first did 1/2 in than went to 3/4 and no more problems. Your top end willl be about 68 - 72 max. I now just use my Magnum for riding around town and speeds less than 55mph. In doing that I now just change oil and put gas in it and hve no problems at all

Ger: Like Mike says...you won't see marks on the tire, it just melts the plastic fenders. It is definitely the tire rubbing if you hear that screech sound. You'll be able to tell by slowly running your fingers along the edge of the inside fender and you'll feel the really smooth melted plastic. Mine does it when I ride 2 up with the 255 tires. My top speed is about 64 measured with GPS. Consistent 55 is pretty easy. Might play with the AFR mixture, because getting it right on is really crucial for speed, aceleration, top end on these scoots. Alleyoop can probably help you get it dead on if you need the help.

I got some 3/4 sq tubing that I'm going to use to raise the rear faring. Looking to see if I can do it without removing the faring. Getting the rear faring off requires removing the tires, the lic plate bracket , rear seat and 3 other pieces. Big pain in the arse.

Nice guys, yesterday I went to the store it was sunny and little windy came back left the car out and pulled out the Trike. Warmed it up while putting on my gloves and helment and went around the the block and FROZE MY arse off(HEHE). I came right back and put it back in the garage. No fun riding and freezing, that DAMN wind just goes up your pants and freezes your balls(HEHE). Alleyoop

Had a cold front here today only 74 but I took a all day trip on the scoot.....Eat that you silly cold blooded rabbit.
Ger...Yes, the 4 bolts on the back deck were the holes is ABS are nand take out the ABS side bolts and it will lift up to slide spacer under. I used solid PVC decking as a spacer...

Tighten up the chain is a pain in the arse... I have one more chain left than am going to a motor cycle chain as that is noting but chain saw driver there... you can get a 10 ft section for nothingf at the farm store, that is what Lee and I did. They are great for streching..... I had some heave duty adjusters made for my rear adjustors, if these wobble out of round something is wrong.

Lee how about you? Do I change the chain now or wait until I have problems with this one?

Change when you need too. I think Lee is still running the same one. You may be OK

Yep 1,000 miles and I'm still on the original one...but it is streching out. Probably change it this summer. Mike did you buy a stainless chain? Motorcycle one? GER if you do adjust the chain lift the trike and make minor adjustments at a time (less than one turn at a time to get the tightness you want.) GER I don't have any pixs but I'll call you to talk it thru if you need me to.

Lee like you have I have one more chain, I may use it befor I get the new cycle one but not sure may get the new one for next time. As I have said I am going to just use the Magnum for car shows and around town only local no trips or over 50 mph. Just too much work if you run it on trips and high speeds, that rear trike section is a trip of it's own
