Sorry Ger42, I know this is difficult for you. I don't say I'm sorry in the context that I feel sorry for you or pity you, I'm sure you don't want that and have had enough hand wringing. I'm sorry that it happened and is distracting from your life and what you want to do. Illness sucks, it sucks the pleasure out of life and turns it into a chore. Hope for a recovery that will allow you to reap some pleasure out of life and live without pain. You'll be a part of this forum as long as you want to be regardless of what your riding or not riding. Once a Doc, always a Doc. Keep us posted, we're concerned and hopeful.
for some many years doctors have been treating symptoms not curing.......what they want, is it treatment or is it a cure? There are no cures John, they don't exist. That's a fact you have to accept if you're in health care and try to live with it. When you take a BP med does it cure you? No, you take it pretty much forever. Does an antibiotic cure you? No, it beats back that bug far enough that your symptoms go away, only to return when it gets a chance. I'm hoping they can get Ger42's plumbing patched so he can get back on his Trike. But he'll be patched, not cured, and he knows that. It's tough stuff to accept but the sooner you do it the easier it is. Rich
