This may be dum but what is the diff in demenistions of the long case and the short case gy6 150 engine engine number is 157QMJ just need a new gasket

about an inch or so, but are you talking about the CVT cover gasket? If so you really do not need it. First time I took mine off back in 2009 it ripped and I just pulled the whole damn thing off. Just about everybody once they take the cvt over off and it rips they just pull it off completely.

Ok thanks for the come back the info I have gotten is 8 bolts to 10 /where did you find the strips for the running boards. Did you make them? I would like to do the rear box idea but not haveing much luck with the rack

Yes the Short Case has only 8 bolts and the Long Case has 10 bolts that is correct.
The aluminum running board strips came with the Trike.
