I have used Soda cans they are generally .003 ..from the side of the can...OK for valve gaps if you have nothing else, but feeler guges are like $4.00 thanks,here feeler guges are about 10 dlls,but right now i ran out of cash...will give the can atry....

huge succes, i bought some feelers yesterdy,set the valves to .004 and .005,made sure on the timing,BANG.....scooter started just fine.time for a test drive....will post results later....

FANTASTIC!! Good job abispax, tight valves will cause all kinds of problems that make you think it is the Carb. But what it is the valves are tight and stay open a little and you loose compression and makes them hard to start and will not hold low RPMS. Alleyoop

Test drive went perfect,good speed,smooth,no more oil,looks to me as i did a good job,thank you guys for all the help..... heres a pic of the scoter.... Attachments:
