With that many miles have you done a VALVE adjustment. If not it is due the valves tighten up and you loose compression and they will not start. Set both VALVES to .004 inchs if they CLATTER(little to loose) set them to .003 inchs but no less than that. A little ticky ticky is good then you know they are not to loose and not tight.
Also have you adjusted your carb for the COLER Temps, for cold temps they need a lot more fuel. If you haven't give the FUEL RATIO MIXTURE screw 1 full turn COUNTER CLOCKWISE and see if that helps it fire up. But FIRST DO THE VALVES otherwise you are just trying to compensate with the carb and it might start but may strand you after a few miles. Alleyoop

When you said the electric start didn't work. Did it turn the motor over or do nothing? If it did nothing the battery may not be up to snuff anymore. (which is why most Chinese batterys have a 30 day guarentee.) Also check the battery fuse. Hodaka Bob County Line Cycles Grovertown, IN

If it has the original Chinese battery in it then it's time for a change. Most reputable online sellers advise changing it immediately. I had a 50cc Lance that did exactly what you said. Only I have a battery charger. Charge the battery and it would kick start, the battery was losing power too fast to run the starter and the ignition circuit.
