my roketa with stock exhaust uni and 100cc big bore kit runs queit all the up to 3/4 throttle if i open it up all the way it gets loud makes a boooar! sound i have 10 gram weights in so i don't figure its overreving, i could be wrong though. Its queit and smooth until i open it all the way up.

Millsc, For the way you hop up your scoots you should get a tiny tach that you can move from one scoot to the other for tuning them. They are great and all you do is wrap the wire around the coil and can just have a velrco on the back to stick on your scoot just a tiny piece of velcro is all you need.
You can usually tell if your over revving it 4ts at 8000 rpms are screaming. Alleyoop

What are you running for an air filter? A low moan sounds like intake honk. Part of the reason for circuitous air intakes are to dull the roar that comes from the intake.

Sounds like needs something millsc, open it up like you normally do and back off the throttle about 1/4 of an inch or so and see how the motor acts. I think It either needs more fuel or less.
so when you back off about 1/4 of an inch on the throttle hold it there and listen and see if the motor speeds up it wants more fuel. If it just settles down it is a little on the rich side. Alleyoop

Yea when they moan like that it is either of the two, but it is hard to tell which problem it has rich or lean but the trick of the trade of backing off works great at any throttle position and is very accurate and will let you know what what the motor needs. Alleyoop

try leaning it you said you have a #35 pilot a 24mm carb for a bored out 50 feeds a lot of air and fuel. I mean just think about it the 24mm carbs with a #35 and 103-105 mains the 150s run great and that is what about 75 or so more ccs than a bored out 50. Alleyoop

Well snit that is even worst running a #35 with 20mm. I really do not understand why people think pouring more fuel into a motor will produce more power. The motors will run but are really loosing power.
Without a tach your just guessing how the motor is running with different changes. A lot of folks think because the performance exhaust is louder it is running faster. Alleyoop
