I have a 150cc ballastic i bought from scooterdepot it arrived in perfect shape and got the paperwork the same day the bike arrived, ive bought from many other online scooter dealers also shipping was slower at scooterdepot and i had a few minor issues with scoot early on but same with all the other scoots i bought online. I'd buy from scooterdepot again

You can keep the airbox with 80cc 47mm kit, and run an 85-88 jet and stock pipe. The smaller kits work fine with stock airbox and stock pipe, the bigger 100cc 50mm kits work better with open airfilters. You will get better performance with an open airfilter on the 80cc kit with an 88 jet, the hipro pipe doesn't do much for the 47mm kits more or less just makes it louder. Use your stock head with the 80cc kit

I believe a scoot with a 39mm piston 49.5cc is dangerous you take a risk getting run over or ran off the road, my town is full of scoots so i bought one because it looked like fun. But once i got it cagers would tail me and honk and other stupid crap, so i began to mod and loved it. So now i do it as a job and for fun, my scoots aren't my main transport so i can take risks if it was my only transport i may have went with a smaller kit. Its not the size of the kit that kills the crank bearings and other stuff its the compression. A 80cc 47mm kit with stock head creates about the same amount of compression as the 100cc kit 50mm with the 50mm combustion chamber i've tested this, so either one will have around the same fail rate. So if you really want to be "safe" go with a 47mm kit with a matching 47mm combustion head.

I agree my modded scoot runs like a champ got another scoot just to mod it since i couldn't mod my first one any more its maxed almost done with the second one, 2000 miles on the heavily modded 50cc with 52mm kit bigger than the op's 50mm kit no issues runs perfect starts right up every time

install the kit correctly and keep up with the maintenance and ride it with a small amount of restraint and all will be good
