Ok, you guys sucked me into this lol. I don't remember them suggesting putting it in the motor. On the brakes and clutch bell but not in the motor. Of course when things got stupid I just quit going to the site. Maybe you guys need to get an Italian scooter like me. Ride more/work less on it = not so grumpy that you got to come here and bash others constantly. When I come here I check the last 50 posts. Since I been back here browsing the site about 50% of the new posts are in this thread. Maybe thats why new membership and viewing has been declining here.

You must have been absent when he talked about how his scooter got quieter, ran faster and felt much more powerful with his Boric Acid concoction inside. Then, after coming and going numerous times, he came back to describe how his valve got bent and he was going to replace the motor. Over at Rebels he described numerous problems from the swap and has now stated that Chinese scooters are only for the mechanically gifted. And Andrew, up here in the frozen north it's hovering around twenty degrees, there's a couple of inches of snow on my driveway and the roads are coated white with salt. If I lived on Long Island again or way down south in Philly I could ride, not here in the Arctic Southern Tier. Might have to replant my 8 tomatoes after tonight, says it may go as low as 28. could not resist buying them last sat, 4 for 88 cents. no big deal if they wilt. Don't normally even think of riding unless its 40 by 10am and 55 or more predicted. I eat breakfast at the 11:30 senior center lunch that is a bit over 3 miles and just over 1 mile of it is black top 55mph limits. Don't mind running WOT and get a 60mph indicated at 6400 rpm.

the key ingredient in having an active forum is "intrigue"...any forum need to have at least one topic that will tickle the minds of the members and visitors, people wants to dip their tongue in the hot sauce once in a while, they become curious and will eventually follow the thread and participate. man likes gossip by nature.
this topic about 2 individual who shut down one active forum(SD) and create another forum (of their own,under their control) is a good topic to follow, there's a mystery behind it.
if you see topics about fixing scooters,adjusting the valve, replacing the belt all the time, ahhh, it gets so boring.
i bet you a lot of newbies followed TN's boric acid whatever, these newbies must have put boric acid in their motor , these poor newbies must have had their valves bent and replaced their motors too. feel sorry for them. TN surely had caused real mayhem in the scooter world.

I guess one has to have 3 or more forums to be a GLOBAL MODERATOR..... Could be why so many good people got banned from SD. Could be why we never got warnings or even told why....
Rich...I like to joke around and poke around as you know. But as I think of it you have taken this forum a long way in a short time.... How you find the time is beyond me... But Thanks Bud for a job well done..

So I see that the new guys are really doubting the wisdom of the stupid name they came up with; Here's a PM that was sent to a new memberif anything it's almost impossible to find this site via google search.I had to literally type "itistheride.boards.net -proboards -scootdawg", for google to find this page.Perhaps all members could do google and this site a favor, by going to this site, by typing in google it's full adress, so google will rank it higher (Google usually ranks sites higher when they get a lot of searches; and at this time, it is pretty much impossible to find itistheride.boards.net by searching google using parameters 'google', 'forum, or things like boards, itistheride, 49cc, or other....
I do not think it would hurt, if you don't mind doing at least one google search for the forum, you can copy and past the address and do the search.

What baffles me is when EGO1 bans EGO2 and eego 2 deletes eego1's last post,........how will they divide a shared forum? or maybe a ride/rode for each?

I'm not sure what the words mean but it seems that the new dictator forum is quite concerned with making farts die. I tell ya, I gotta agree with the guy that wrote that! Those things can strip a few nose hairs!

Maybe one of you brainiacs (found only at Scooter Doc!) can search Goobler translator and see what that poster means. If JR wrote it I'm sure it means something about bunnies and kitties and all things nice! Aw, that's Jack in the middle giving himself a nice big hug!

Doug is so evil that.....As of now it seems like Doc is the big forum on the block, I hope it continues to do well. Life is too short to dwell on past mistakes, sins and past sufferings. We should all bury the hatchet as JR and I did. We both admitted that things had gone too far, we will work to get along in the future.

Actually, when I was a noob at Scoot Dawg I used to PM Doug quite a bit and he would always answer. I found him to be intelligent, considerate, and a nice guy. I realize a lot of folks have had issues with him. There's too many members here that have, in private, expressed the same concerns about Doug leading me to think that at least some of them are true. The admin job can be tough and it's pretty easy to make folks angry when trying to control a forum. Maybe Doug did get a little heavy handed, I don't know, it wasn't my forum and I wasn't following it. I'm sure he did what he thought he had to.WoW!! JR banned me for using the word stupid. Im sure he will see this since he likes to troll the boards.

Since this thread seems to be somewhat of a catharsis for many of us I'll do a little catharting (not kafarting!) myself. I don't have much of a history with Doug other than some PMs and a few e-mails. Now I do have some history with Jack aka JR. Here's the short story: In 2010 I contacted Jack about starting a forum together. He thought that sounded kinda knarly and told me to go ahead and lay down the boards. Since I'm a pretend brainiac (found only at Scooter Doc!) I didn't know that would make me the admin and I really didn't know what an admin was. I only wanted to start a forum for a reference and have some fun. Jack is very intelligent, he can be witty with a caustic slant, fiercely loyal, and supportive. He can also be overbearing, demeaning, derisive, controlling to the point of OCD, and sometimes kinda scary.
Things started out OK but soon Jack seemed obsessed about growing the forum as fast as possible. This overdrive mentality translated into an obsession that resulted in an overwhelming barrage of phone calls and e-mails. After about a year of this, with Jack turning a deaf ear to my appeals to back off, I snapped. I refused to talk to Jack ever again although we did exchange some.....uh....colorful e-mails for a while. I sometimes thought I may have just overreacted and Jack didn't really[/u] call that much but my wife and the girls at work have confirmed it many times. The girls at work thought he was scary and very off the wall. Jack will probably dispute all of this in no uncertain terms as is his right. After some months Jack sent out the infamous "goodbye Scooter Doc" mass PMs and e-mails to the members and proceeded to start The Professor which has become successful. OK, here's the catharsis: Jack, I owe you a couple apologies. The first is that, as I mentioned, I feel I should have just told you to back off or I was quitting the forum long before I went over the edge. However, at that time I was going through a rough patch at home and at work. It was just a tough time all around. Second, I strung you along letting you believe I would turn the forum over to you after I got some things in order after "the snap". I did believe that was what would happen but it was really crappy of me to string it out like that. Go or get off the pot as my dad used to say. So I'm sorry man, I'm not proud of that....not by a long shot. So here we are, I hung on with Doc, JR is juggling Professor and The Ride, Doug is juggling Rebel and the Ride, Lee is on some island counting his bucks, and Mike begins each morning with "  happened?" I'm banned at 49ccScoot, Rebel, and The Professor. The last time I looked I was good at The Ride and Scoot Dawg. I have banned JR and Brent, and I thought Doug, mainly because they banned me That's how many of history's wars have started. Not by banning each other but...oh, you get my drift. So here's what I'm doing right after I post this POS screed: I'm going to the admin panel and take the bans off of Doug, JR, and Brent. This will be my olive branch and hopefully we can calm things down in the scooter world and not LOOK LIKE SUCH WEINIES!  Alley is right, it's a scooter forum, calm down, it's not the end of the world. By the way, if Alley is prepping to be an admin, the forum that gets him should count themselves lucky. He's a good man and I'm proud to call him my friend. Gosh, are the credits rolling?  There's a LOT of good, smart people on this forum, I feel lucky to have such a great membership. Hopefully we'll keep growing and provide some fun and resources for the scooter community which is what we SHOULD be doing instead of all the jabs, barbs, and competitions. By the way, I hope everyone recognized that the humorous parts of this post were just for yuks and no offense was meant. Like Cookees says, they're jokes, lighten up.
