OK I got 1400 miles on the Moto "Fashion" and I noticed something today. I get a ticking noise from the motor around 25-32 MPR. Anything faster sounds OK. Any suggestions on this one? All the fluids are where they need to be.
Thanx kracker
Please note: I don't want to hear that the problem is its a Chinese scooter!

Possible reasons your scooter is ticking:- Your wife finally found a good use for that alarm clock and brick of C4.
- Harley is in the seat bucket messing with you.
- Your artificial knee needs oil.
- Your real knee needs oil.
Serious reasons your engine is ticking:- Check the spark plug, it may be loose.
- The valves may need setting.
- Try a higher grade of gas.
- Your exhaust may be loose on the head.

So I did the old screw driver to the top of motor and my ear on handle.....the tic is there! If it is valve adjustment I'll have to have it done. I've never done them and the bad back makes me limited on what I can do.........this sucks.

Same here I cannot be bending down to much or on the floor I will not be able to walk for a week. Find a lawnmower/tractor place the motors and how they run are no different than a scoot motor. Alleyoop

This video is in the Scooter Doc Library, it may be different than what you found:
I suggest you use the above procedure, it is MUCH quicker, and easier on the back, than the Honda procedure. Also, I have some joint problems and I just could not work on these things without this lift from HF:
It says it can lift 1,000 LBS. I wouldn't do over 600 with it but for scooters it's great:

Hey, I resemble that remark (LOL) Its amazing the technology today. My great uncle had a scary looking prostatic that scared us as kids. Its awesome to see people with disability's living and doing better then most people who take life for granted.
Rock on brother!

Update on valve adjustments......
WOW it was easy! The videos were a big help as well as all you kats were!
Its not perfect, but a hell of a lot better. I also did a AMSOIL synthetic oil change on the scooter as well. For this being my first Chinese scooter I'm having fun with it!
Cheers, Kracker
