I guess with any human endeavor things can get a little rocky and we had a rough road for a while. We have things running pretty smooth now and I anticipate steady growth. I've been criticized for promoting membership but I do that for a reason. More active members means we have more diverse and eclectic input not only on tech issues but pics, videos, humor, and all the good things a forum can offer.
We're not the busiest forum around but I kind of like that. We can devote some time to tech questions and fully address the members concerns. We also have time to look through all the boards and to keep spammers and unacceptable content off of the forum. In that regard, I'm an old, I guess reformed, hippie:

Anyway, I am loathe to initiate censorship; you know....the man is bringing me down and all that crap. I've been forced to censor several times when the talk got vulgar or patently offensive. Alley and Cruiser have as well. However, I do believe in free speech and this forum will never get heavy handed with controlling content as long as I'm the admin. However, we will when we have to.
The initial crew on this forum was JR, ♔Big Guy♔, CCprof, and Cruiser. Many thanks guys, Scooter Doc wouldn't be here without your efforts. ♔Big Guy♔ constructed the code for the first banners we had; thanks Rich! And hi Jack, I see you signed up as JR, can we drop the banned crap? By virtue of laying down the boards on my birthday in 2010, I unexpectedly ended up being the admin; I guess I'll hang around a while. PJ aka Classic 50 has been a great contributor and even has his own board PJ's Corner. I'm hoping one day he'll recover from his kidney transplant enough to return to Scooter Doc; get well pal.
I'd especially like to thank Alleyoop who came on board as a moderator I guess over a year ago. He also has his own board Triker's Alley. Clever huh? ;D We brainstormed over that name for about two days. Giant minds turn slowly!
Alley has managed things while I was away on business, answers tech questions, watches the boards, nails spammers, and, well shoot, just about everything...thanks bud.
I have a lot of pals on this forum...KZ, Will, Cookees, Sprocket, Dean, Tvnacman, Luke ☎, even Earthie!; jeez...I can't think of everybody..I'm sorry if I missed you. They're great members and good friends.
I promised myself I wouldn't cry!!
